Welcome to the Fairhaven Vital Records website, a digital compilation of the birth, death, and marriage records of the Town of Fairhaven. It is designed to be used by genealogists, historians, and others interested in the people who lived in our town in the nineteenth century. In addition to the dates of life events, many entries include the cause of death, names of parents and spouses, and place of birth.
The information in the website was drawn from the original records in the Fairhaven Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall and from the compilation created by Dorothy Marvelle Boyer. A copy of this compilation is available in the Millicent Library Archives. Each record also provides a reference number to the Massachusetts Vital Records.
Copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates can be obtained from the Fairhaven Town Clerk’s office.
You may also wish to consult the Fairhaven Cemetery Records database, on the Millicent Library website, for information on where Fairhaven residents were buried.
